Environmental assessment for widening FM 1093 from two to four lanes. Quadrant Consultants prepared an Environmental Assessment for widening FM 1093 (Westheimer Road) from FM 1942 to SH 99 (Grand Parkway) in Harris and Fort Bend Counties from two lanes to four lanes with a center median. The project length is 5.1 miles.
The EA includes an alternative analysis, wetland delineation, endangered species survey for Texas prairie-dawn (Hymenoxys texana), historic structures survey, floodplain analysis, noise and air quality analysis, land use evaluation, secondary and cumulative impact analysis, and Federal, State, and local agency coordination. A noise workshop was conducted for noise impacts at a residential subdivision for which a noise barrier was recommended.
