Master plan and environmental assessment for a new municipal heliport near Houston's downtown Convention Center.
The City of Houston planned to build a municipal heliport near the downtown Convention Center. Quadrant prepared the master plan and environmental assessment for the heliport. The analysis includes computing noise levels in adjacent areas and assessing potential impacts to nearby historic sites. The project included a Metropolitan Heliport System Plan that determined the number and location of public-use heliports in the Houston area. Quadrant Consultants prepared the heliport layout plan and the environmental assessment for the CBD Heliport, the first such heliport in downtown Houston. The project also includes extensive community participation.
