McHard Road Extension Environmental Assessment |

Environmental assessment and wetland delineation for 1.1 mile of a new 4-lane thoroughfare extending McHard Road from SH 35 to Pearland Parkway in north Pearland.
Quadrant prepared an environmental assessment and wetland delineation for extending McHard Road from SH 35 to Pearland Parkway in north Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas. The proposed 1.1-mile thoroughfare would have four lanes and curb and gutter drainage. A new 1mile drainage ditch would also be built to convey storm water from the new roadway to a detention pond. The environmental assessment presents the impacts of the project on plant communities, wetlands, water quality, air quality, noise, land use and socioeconomics. The wetland delineation was approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in March 2004, and the environmental assessment was approved by the Federal Highway Administration in August.
